Brothers and sister, you are loved by God. We know that He has chosen you. 1 Thessalonians 1:4
Today you are invited to consider your brothers and sisters in Christ. Who do you consider them to be? Are they people you can name or are they the church universal to you? How does the thought that everyone who follows Christ is your brother or your sister affect the way you react to people of different denominations to the one you follow? How does it affect the way you think of those who are imprisoned for their faith, or Christ-followers who are fleeing persecution across international borders, or believers who are being persecuted by their own families in your neighbourhood? How can you stand alongside such brothers and sisters in Christ? Speak to God about this today and ask Him to show you what you can do – in prayer or any other way – to help.
God bless you as you think about the family of Christ today and pray for all who are your brothers and sisters.
