You are Invited

Do not hold against us the sins of past generations; may your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need.  Psalm 79:8

Today you are invited to consider whether you need to pray this prayer for yourself, for your country, for those around you, for the universal Church.  How do you and the people you are praying need God’s mercy today?  Where do they need forgiveness?  What sins of past generations are you particularly aware of as you pray?  Who are perpetrating these sins still?  Ask God to show you how to pray that all those for whom you pray, yourself included, may be set free from any sin that is holding you back from doing God’s will and following God’s path for the world.

May God bless you as you spend time in meditation with Him today.

About Mandy Hackland

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I do live in the city but make the most of the green spaces that surround me.
