You are Invited

Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, ‘Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!’  The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, ‘Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!’  Matthew 20:30-31

Today you are invited to consider how persistent you are in prayer.  What request have you been presenting to God for a long time that He does not seem to have answered yet?  How sincerely are you asking?  How specific have you been? How will the answer affect your life?  Could it bring you closer to God or take you further away if you are granted what you are praying?  How will it affect other people around you?  How closely does it tie in with what is written in Scripture?  How much time have you been still in God’s presence to hear His reply to you?  Find some time today to just be in God’s presence.  Bring your request to Him and then sit quietly and listen.  Even if you do not hear Him during this time, be alert to His response in other ways.  Then accept His answer and move forward in whatever direction He leads you.

May God bless you with a response today – whatever that response may be – and may He grant you the grace to accept His answer.
