You are Invited

Accept one another then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.  Romans 15:7

Today you are invited to consider how you accept other people.  How do you accept those who speak badly of you; who disagree with you; who dominate you; who abuse you?  Who must you accept and who can you walk away from?  How do you live out this command in the face of those who abuse children; or take another’s life?  Paul is speaking to the Church in Rome here, for sadly these things occur even in the Church.  How do you decide who you must accept and who you should reject – and what form should that rejection take?  Spend time with God today asking Him how to deal with such situations, especially if they exist in your life at this time and you have to cope with them on a day to day basis.  If you are fortunate enough not to have such situations in your life, spend time praying for those who do, especially if you know of some in your world.

May God bless you as you follow His lead in such situations – and may He show you any action that you need to take as a result of your prayers.
