Today you are invited to consider who has taken on the role of John for you in your life recently. Who has brought you back onto the true path of your faith when you have been tempted to wander away? Who has prayed for you? Who has listened to you, or taught you, or guided you? Who has held the Christ-light for you? Who has loved you in spite of everything? Spend some time today thanking God for this person or people. Pray for them. It does not matter whether you know how to pray or what to pray for – God knows and your prayers for them today will bless them.
