You are Invited

The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with His disciples, but that they had gone away alone. … Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus. John 6:22, 24

Today you are invited to consider how you feel when you cannot find Jesus. What happens in your life to make you feel this way as if you are completely alone? Where do you look for Him? How do you feel when you are not aware of His presence? How important is an examination of conscience for you at such a time? What do you do in your search for Him? How do you feel when you find Him again and realise He has been with you all the time, just as He promised? Sometimes we think He has left us – but in fact, it is us who have moved away. What do you want to say to Him today?

May God bless you with His presence today.
