You are Invited

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. Then they asked Him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” John 6:27-28

Today you are invited to consider what you are working for. What is it about your work that gives you pleasure? What do you dislike about it? What reward makes it all worthwhile? How satisfied are you with your remuneration? What are you doing to earn ‘food that endures to eternal life’? What does that even mean to you? Ask Jesus what He wants you to do. How do you feel about His response? What will you do as a result of this conversation?

May God bless you as you seek to work for His Kingdom towards the food that endures to eternal life today, whatever that may mean for you.

About Mandy Hackland

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I do live in the city but make the most of the green spaces that surround me.
