Where do you see God’s love for you? How do you notice Him telling you He loves you.
Sometimes, life is challenging. The right direction is hard to find. Or there seems to be no direction at all.
I was feeling a bit like that on Thursday last week. Sort of stuck. Not a lot of movement forward.
Now, if you look at the title of this blog – Discovering the Rainbows – you may have a clue of the sort of things that reveal God’s love for me. I see the colours of His love in many ways – and one of them is rainbows. Often in the storm, there is a rainbow. In fact, you can’t see a rainbow if there is no storm around. You have to have storms to see rainbows.
Thursday was not particularly stormy for me. But, in spite of it being a bright sunny morning, it seemed to be a dull, non-happening day.
I go to a healing service early on a Thursday morning. I have attended it for years. Not so much to receive healing as to pray for those who need it. On this uneventful Thursday, I opened the doors to the foyer of the church, not expecting to encounter God at that precise moment, especially in that room. Later, I knew He would be close, but not just then.
Yet there He was. Pouring His love out to me in the form of two rainbows. Shards of light splattered across the floor, pouring in from the stained glass window through the church, through the glass doors, into the foyer.
Not just one rainbow, but two.
Grace upon grace. My heart soared. The colours of God’s love coloured my day. He used me to serve Him and bless others in unexpected ways during the morning. He warmed my heart and brought joy into my life, blessing both me and those around me.
Thank you, Lord, for your rainbows – and for the recognition of your love in them.
Where do you, my reader, see God’s love? Sharing your awareness may alert others to His love for them too.
God bless you.
