Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!” (He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray Him.) John 6:70-71
Today you are invited to consider these strong words from Jesus. You see they are aimed at Judas. Perhaps you breathe a sigh of relief. Yet are there times when you betray Jesus yourself? What happens when you are silent when people are using God’s name as a curse? Or when people are speaking against Him and you are silent? What happens when you hear His voice – and ignore it? What do you want to say to Jesus today in the light of these things? How does He reply?
May God bless you with a fresh sense of His forgiveness and an overwhelming sense of His love for you as you confess and repent of any occasions when you have rejected Him.
