But when the Festival of Tabernacles was near, Jesus’ brothers said to Him, “Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that Your disciples there may see the works you do. …” John 7:2-3
The Jewish Feast of Tabernacles is now. Starting on the evening of 23 September it is celebrated through until the evening of 30 September. It is an important feast in the Jewish calendar. Today you are invited to consider what festivals you celebrate throughout the year as a Christ-follower. How many of them bring honour to God? How do you celebrate them? How important are they and the traditions they bring? What changes, if any could you make to involve God more in them?
Spend a little time today investigating the Festival of Tabernacles (Sukkot), out of interest. May God bless you as you seek to understand this Festival which was instituted by Him in Leviticus 23:34-43.
