You are Invited

Then Jesus, still teaching in the Temple courts, cried out, “Yes, you know Me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own authority, but He who sent Me is true. You do not know Him, but I know Him because I am from Him and He sent Me.” John 7:28-29

Today you are invited to consider under whose authority you speak and live your life. How often do you consult God when making decisions or when you are having a conversation? Look back on the last 24 hours. What have you said or done that you regret? How could the situation have been different if you had invited Jesus to be part of the actions or conversation? What are you going to do or say today where you may need His authority? Spend time now giving your day to Him and asking Him to be your Guide throughout the day, so everything you do is in His name. Then at the end of the day (or of the next 24 hours) look back and see how He has worked in your life. What do you want to say to Him now, and how does He respond?

May God bless you with clear guidelines today and enable you to speak and act under His authority. And may He bless you with the ability to notice the difference.
