On most Fridays this year to date I have shared some of my experiences from my wonderful holiday in New Zealand. It was an adventure and holds many happy memories for me.
On my return home, I found myself faced with major changes. I am sure, in the months to come, I will share some of these adventures with you too. Sometimes change can be daunting, and challenges arise that seem to be mountains with rock faces that cannot be scaled.
So I prayed. And God said, “Trust Me.”
I wanted to. I tried. But I seemed to be receiving one curved ball after another. So I thought I would see what God says to us about trusting Him. And the Scriptures I found formed themselves into a letter.
I share this with you today, with the prayer that you too may hear His voice in any dilemma you are facing, encouraging you to trust Him.
My beloved child,
Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and thanksgiving present your requests to Me. When you are afraid, put your trust in Me. Commit your ways to Me and I will do this. For faith is confidence in what you hope for and assurance about what you do not see. Your ancestors put their trust in Me and I delivered them. I am your refuge and your fortress.
Seek first My kingdom and My righteousness and everything else will be given to you. Trust in Me with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. I work all things for good for those who love Me, who have been called according to my purpose.
Trust Me and I will bring joy to you. I will keep you in perfect peace when you are steadfast in mind, for you are blessed when you trust Me and have confidence in Me.
This is My word to you because I love you.
Abba
I pray you may hear His voice whispering to you today.
God bless you.
PS: Here are the Scriptures I found on which the letter is based, in case you want to look them up for yourself.
