If the world hates you, keep in mind it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. John 15:18-19

Today you are invited to consider what it costs you to be a Christ-follower. What do your friends, colleagues or family do that you will not do because of Christ in your life? How difficult is it for you to stand firm in your faith and say ‘no’ to activities you know Christ would not want you to do? What do others say to you and how do you respond to their encouragement to join them? How does the fact that Jesus has chosen you help you to stand firm? Speak to Him today about any struggles you may be experiencing in this regard. Listen for His reply.
