Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, the will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching they will obey you also. They will treat you this way because of My Name, for they do not know the One who sent Me. John 15:20-21

Today you are invited to consider how you are persecuted for following Jesus. Are you conscious of persecution? Is it mild, mocking, uncomfortable? Or it it life-threatening. Pray for those who persecute you today, and ask Jesus to help you to love your persecutors with His love. Pray also for the persecuted Church that all those who live in fear of their lives because of their faith in Christ may be strengthened and aware of God’s love for them in unexpected ways today.
