May Your will be done in me,
May I hear Your voice in the silence,
In the noise of the crowd,
In the music.
May I hear so clearly
That I cannot but follow.
May You speak to me when You will
And may I be so alert
To the sound of Your voice
That I stop and listen,
However busy I am,
However tired, or hungry or angry.
May I hear it like I heard my babies cry,
A voice that cannot be ignored,
For the compulsion of the call,
For the love it contains.
And may I get up and follow.
Call me when You want me, Lord
Fill me with compassion, courage,
Strength, generosity,
Whatever I need
To follow, to obey and do Your will.
Grow me into the person
You want me to be,
Love me into my full potential,
Cherish me
That I may increasingly have the desire
To cherish You.
For I love because You first loved me.
So fill me with such love,
That I have no option but to love
With compassion; so I must reach out
With the courage that enables me.
Lord I know that I can do all things
Through You, who strengthens me.
So Lord, my prayer today is
Do it,
Whatever it may be.
May you will be done in me.
May Your Will be done in me
