When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they rook His clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. “Let’s not tear it,” they said to one another. “Let’s decide by lot who will get it.” This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled that said, “They divided my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.” So this is what the soldiers did. John 19:23-24

Today you are invited to consider that the soldiers did this, unaware of the fact that they were fulfilling the prophecy given in Psalm 22:18. What does this say to you about God and His plan for he world? How do you feel about the fulfillment of prophecy? Do you believe in it? Where do you see prophecies being given and fulfilled today? Ask God to show you – to open your eyes and your heart to His activity in the world around you.

May God give you eyes to see and ears to hear, and a heart and mind willing to accept His activity in your world today.
