You are Invited

So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. John 20:3-4

Today you are invited to consider how you feel when someone gets to the finish line before you do, in spite of your best efforts. Can you be pleased for them, or do you resent them? What do you want to say to Jesus in this regard? And how does He reply? What are your feelings about that reply – will you use it or reject it? Why? Examine yourself – how do your feelings influence the person you are – the person others see?

May God bless you with a generous spirit today and words that encourage others.
