Jesus said, “Do not hold on to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. God instead to My brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.'” John 20:17

Today you are invited to consider your response when Jesus asks you to do something you would rather not do. All Mary wanted to do was touch Jesus. But He gave her a request to leave Him and go to tell others. What happens when you follow His desire rather than your own? What happens when you don’t? How do you feel now about times when you have refused to do what Jesus has asked you to do? Speak to Him about such times. What does He say to you now?
