On that evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” John 20:19
Today you are invited to join the disciples in the Upper Room, behind locked doors, because you are so afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly Jesus is there. How do you feel? What do you think? Do you remember the things Jesus said to you during His time with you, that suddenly make sense. In hindsight this is something we know about today – but what would you feel like if it was a brand new concept to you? Tell Jesus what His appearance to the disciples means to you. Listen. Does He tell you what it means to Him? How do you respond?
May God bless you with wonder as you consider the scenes in the Upper Room on that night.
