You are Invited

I lie down and sleep I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. Psalm 3:5

Today you are invited to consider sleep. How do you sleep? How deep is your sleep? Is it troubled by disturbance – restless dreams, outside noise or street lights? What keeps you awake? What worries you? There are times in life – when a new baby is born, or a loved one is sick and needs attention during the night – when sleep is disturbed. Maybe you are one who is going through such a time as this. Ask God to give you the patience to deal with the interruptions to your sleep and the energy to cope with your days. If this is not you and yet your sleep is restless and broken, ask God to give you the gift of uninterrupted, restful sleep, and close your eyes whispering the name of Jesus. Take note, at the end of the week, how things have changed for your sleep.

May God bless you with as much sleep as you need to refresh and energise you for the day ahead.

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I have moved to the coast and am enjoying the green spaces and beautiful vistas that surround me, reminding me of God's grace every day.
