God is love

I have been doing a lot of reading lately for a project I am involved in and I have enjoyed it.

However I came across one sentence in a book or online – and I have read so much I can’t remember where I found it – that stopped me in my tracks and reduced me to tears.

It was speaking about the Ten Commandments and how we live in the light of them. Then it said:

God is love, so when we sin we do not break the law so much as break God’s heart.

I think that’s enough for today.
