All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads. ‘He trusts in the Lord,’ they say, ‘let the Lord rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.’ Psalm 22:7-8
Today you are invited to consider how others treat you. Who do you feel angry with for being unkind or bullying you, or mocking you? How do you respond to them? What do their words and/or actions do to you? Read these words again, thinking of Jesus as He walked the Via Dolorosa on the way to Golgotha, carrying His cross. Now read them once more thinking of what they mean to you personally. What do you want to say to Jesus about the two situations? What does He reply? Where is God in this for you today?
May God bless you with the strength to resist believing the words spoken against you and to stand firm and strong as a Child of the Most High God – a prince or princess in His Kingdom today.
