This day, that day

Having thought the whole of yesterday was Saturday, and then realising it was Thursday because I had a zoom Bible study in the evening, I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday.

But it’s not. It’s Friday and I missed my Friday 10.00 slot!

My weeks are muddled. I have to remember Sunday because I attend a zoom service – often one that is held in Australia by a dear friend who moved there some years ago. It is great to hear him preach again.

And I have to remember Wednesday because that’s the day I dress up and put the rubbish out, and wave to the dustmen when they drive past.

But I don’t have to remember any other day of the week. Usually I do these posts a few days in advance so as long as I have the next week covered I can relax and think about what I am going to say next.

But this week, with Thursday being Saturday and Friday being Thursday it all got stirred around. Is it this day, that day, someday, one day, which day, what day or my birthday? The only one I am sure about is the latter. And it is not that day!

So here I am, better late than never I guess. At least I remembered before it was very late that it is today my long post goes out.

Here it is, my friends. Today!

How do you remember which day of the week it is? And does it really matter?

God bless you – keep safe.
