The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

Today you are invited to consider the words of this verse. Are you broken-hearted or crushed in spirit? Have you told God about why this is so? Tell Him now. What makes your heart break and crushes your spirit? How does God’s closeness help you? If this is not you, who do you know at this time of lockdown – or easing of lockdown – who is broken and crushed by all that is going on and how the pandemic has affected them personally? How can you help these people? What is God saying to you about how you feel – and/or about how you can help others?
