Today you are invited to consider how the verses of Scripture that you have learnt by heart have helped you in times of need – of advice, guidance, wisdom, comfort etc. How eager are you to commit Scripture to memory? Why/why not? Ask God to show you what verse He wants you to commit to memory today, and then try to do that. Make a note during the coming days of when the verse comes to mind and how it helps you. How does this make you feel about committing another verse to memory? Ask God to help you if you struggle to remember and to give you the gift of recall when you need to remember.
