You are Invited

May my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Psalm 141:2

Today you are invited to consider what you do when you catch a delicious smell of fresh bread, or frying onions, or a sweetly scented rose. Imagine yourself breathing in the delightful smell. Now see God breathing in your prayers – a deep breath – as they rise like incense to His throne. Even the smallest prayer is a sweet perfume to our God. How do these thoughts make you feel? What will you say to God about His enjoyment – yes, enjoyment – of your prayers. The fact that you pray to Him shows Him you love Him. Tell Him how much you love Him today – show Him by the lifting of your hands. Make a note in your journal of how this time with Him has made you feel.

May God bless you as you spend time with Him today, expressing your love for Him.
