The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. Psalm 145:18

Today you are invited to consider how close you feel to God. How much time do you spend with Him? How important is it that you do spend time with Him? What gets in the way? How busy are you? Stop what you are doing and spend a while in His presence. Try an experiment today. Give God time which you believe you cannot afford to give Him in your busy-ness and take a note of what happens. At the end of 24 hours, look back and assess all you have accomplished, having spent time with God. Then think back to previous days. Which was more productive? The days you spent in a hurry trying to meet your deadlines – or the day that was hemmed in with time spent in God’s presence?
