You are Invited

Jesus has been baptised by John and is now in the desert where Satan comes to tempt Him. Satan plays on Jesus’ hunger and suggests He turns the stones into bread. Jesus replies:

It is written “Man shall not live on bread alone.” Luke 4:4

Today you are invited to consider what gives you life. It is time spent with family? Your work? Being in nature? A wonderful meal? Spending time serving others or worshipping God? Think for a while. What do you find energising, exciting, refreshing. How does this activity lead you closer to God? How does it grow your spiritual life? Listen. What is Jesus saying to you with these words today? How will you respond?

May God bless you with His sustenance today in whatever form that may take.
