Jesus has forgiven the paralysed man. He has challenged the Pharisees and teachers of the law. Now He turns back to the man at His feet and says to the crowd gathered around Him:

‘But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.’ So He said to the paralysed man: ‘I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.’ Luke 5:24

Today you are invited to put yourself in this position. You have been forgiven. You have been healed. How would you respond? What would you say to Jesus? Perhaps you find this difficult for you do not feel either forgiven or healed. What do you want to say to Jesus in this case? How does He respond? How does His response make you feel? Tell Him and ask Him to make you aware that He has heard you and does respond to you – even if it is not in the way you hope.
