You are Invited

Jesus goes up a hillside, followed by the crowds, and there He gives a life-changing sermon. Let’s look at what He says, verse by verse:

Blessed are you who are poor; for yours is the kingdom of God. Luke 6:20

Today you are invited to consider these words. How do they apply to you? How can someone be blessed when they are poor? So many people are hungry and out of work at this time. How can they consider themselves blessed? How do you see them as blessed? Is this financial poverty or spiritual poverty or both? What does Jesus mean by these words? Read them again and ask Him. Give Him time to respond. Look and listen for His answer. How will these words change your life?

May God bless you with greater understanding and deeper compassion through His words today.
