You are Invited

Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. Luke 6:25

Today you are invited to consider what this verse means to you. Does it relate solely to food and amusement, or can you read more into it? Could it mean satisfaction in the praise of others or arrogant laughter? Why would Jesus tell us not to eat or laugh? How do the words speak to you at this time? Are they a prompt to consider others more; to be more compassionate or sensitive to the needs and emotions of others? Ask Jesus today what He is saying to you. Again, record His answer in a journal, that you may remember.

May God bless you with an awareness of the needs of others today and the compassion to help them however they need help.
