Jesus continues:

But the one who hears My words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete. Luke 6:49

Today you are invited to look around you. Where can you see people working hard to serve Jesus and yet there seems to be no results? Maybe this even applies to what you are doing yourself as you strive to serve Him. Spend some time in prayer today asking God for direction for yourself and those who seek to serve Him with no apparent results. May He show them the way – and if the way the travel is His way, may He give them peace about what they are doing for Him.
