John’s disciples came to see Jesus to ask if He was the one who had been promised. Jesus sent a message back, using words John would immediately recognise as a fulfilment of Isaiah’s prophecy (Isaiah 61:1)
‘Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.’ Luke 7:22-23
Today you are invited to consider the changes that have happened in your life and in those of Christ-followers around you because of the presence of Jesus with you and them. What do you want to say to God about these things today? Spend some time praising Him for the changes that have happened, and asking for help for the changes still to come.
May God bless you as He deepens your faith and draws you closer than ever to Him today.
