Jesus said to the people around Him:
For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say ‘Here is a glutton, a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by all her children.’ Luke 7:33-35
Today you are invited to consider the choices you make. To follow this political party – or that. To wear a mask – or not; to vaccinate – or not. How do you make these decisions? How persuaded are you by social media, what you see on TV or hear on the radio? How do you feel about those who disagree with you? How important are these differences to you? How do you relate to those who are not of the same opinion? What does Jesus say to you about these differences?
May God bless you with a spirit of acceptance of others, even in their differences and reconciliation where it is required.
