Jesus joined a Pharisee for dinner in his home. Whilst there a woman came and anointed Jesus with perfume and her teas. The Pharisee was shocked. Jesus said to him:

Simon, I have something to tell you … two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii and the other fifty. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more? Luke 7:41-42

Today you are invited to consider how you would answer this question – and how it affects you. How does the fact that you have been forgiven all your sin impact your relationship with Jesus? What do you want to say to Him about this? Do you feel forgiven? Why/why not? Speak to Jesus about any struggles you may have in this regard. What does He reply?

May God bless you today with a strong sense of His gift of freedom from sin as a result of Jesus sacrifice on the cross for you.
