The woman had anointed Jesus head and feet as He sat at the table in the Pharisee’s home. The Pharisee had complained.But Jesus said:

‘Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven – as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven llittle loves little.’ Then Jesus said to her, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’ Luke 7:47-48

Today you are invited to consider forgiveness. Jesus says to the woman her sins are forgiven. Do you feel your sins have been forgiven? Why/why not? Speak to Jesus about this if it is a struggle for you. Name the sins you think are still hanging around your neck. Confess them, repent of them. What does Jesus say to you? Listen. ‘Your sins are forgiven.’ Jesus forgives you. Can you forgive you? Tell Jesus of any struggle you have in forgiving yourself and ask Him to help you. How do you feel now?
