Jesus travels from village to village and tells the parable of the farmer who went out to sow his seed. Some fell on the path and was eaten by the birds; some fell on rocky ground and did not grow; some fell amongst weeds and was choked; but other seed fell on good soil and bore a wonderful crop (Luke 8:5-8). Jesus ended this story by saying:
‘Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.’ Luke 8:8
Today you are invited to consider whether you hear the voice of God. How does He speak to you? Spend some time today looking up this parable. What ‘soil’ do you think you are? Does the word of God wilt and die in your life – or does it bear an abundant harvest? How do the words of Jesus impact who you are and what you do? Speak to Him today about any struggles you may have in hearing, absorbing, understanding or living His words to you
May God bless you with ears that hear His words to you and may they impact you life so He is glorified by the way you respond to them.
