You are Invited

Jesus gathered His twelve disciples together and gave them authority to drive out demons and cure diseases and He sent them out saying to them:

Take nothing for the journey – no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them. Luke 9:3-5

Today you are invited to consider what these words mean to you. Jesus asked His disciples to do something that meant they had to trust God completely. No money, no bread, no extra baggage, no accommodation. They had to go with the faith that somehow, God would provide for them. He may not be asking you to do exactly the same but what is He asking you to do that takes courage and absolute trust in Him to provide all you need? How do you feel about this? What, if anything, is holding you back? Where do you need His help to move forward? Ask Him today to show you the way and take the first step in faith. Watch what happens and make a note of your progress as you go forward day by day.

May God bless you with faith in Him and an ever-growing trust that He is all you need.
