Jesus goes on, saying:

Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. Luke 9:26

Today you are invited to consider whether you have ever been ashamed of Jesus. When have you been with a group of people who start to swear or to talk disparagingly about God and have remained silent? When have you questioned God’s ways to other people and dismissed Him? When have you spoken up for Him? When have you accepted the things of God that you struggle to agree with? What is God saying to you about these things today? Make any confession He is urging you to make. Talk to Him about the bad times and the good.
