Jesus continued with His instructions to the seventy two:

When you enter a town, and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God’ has come near to you.’ Luke 10:8-9

Today you are invited to consider these words. What challenges do they present for you? For some the eating anything part may be a challenge. For others it won’t be a problem. But for many healing the sick will be something you may never have considered. Nor may you ever have thought of witnessing to people about the nearness of the kingdom of God. How can you do these things that Jesus commanded His disciples to do? Do you think they apply to you today? Why/why not? Do you consider yourself a disciple of Jesus? What is God saying to you about these things?
