Jesus told His disciples a parable about a man who had an unexpected visitor late at night and went to his neighbour and hammered on the door asking for some bread to share with his guest. Jesus said:

… because of your shameless audacity (the neighbour) will surely get up and give you as much as you need. Luke 11:8

Today you are invited to consider what is the bravest request you have ever made to God. What made you ask for such an audacious answer to your prayer? What made you so brave? How did you think God would respond to your prayer? How did He actually respond? Or are you still asking? What does this story say about persevering until the prayer is answered? What do you feel about God answering such an audacious prayer?
