Jesus goes on to accuse his audience of building tombs, and thus approving, of their ancestors who killed the prophets. He tells them their generation would be held responsible for all the blood of the prophets since the time of Abel to the killing of Zechariah. He then continues:
Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering. Luke 11:52
Today you are invited to consider whom it is that you help to learn; and whom do you hinder? Who do you teach? What do you teach them? Are you teaching them by example or in a professional way? Who could you teach if you are not already reaching out to them? What could you, should you, be researching and learning about yourself? What does God say to you through these words? How will you respond?
May God bless you with people to teach and mentor and guidance for the path ahead for your own learning.
