Jesus continues to talk to His disciples and those around Him:
I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes I tell you, fear him. Luke 12:4-5
Today you are invited to consider who or what you are afraid of. What frightens you the most? How do Jesus’ words help or hinder you to overcome your fear? How do you relate to these words? What do they mean to you? How do you need Jesus to help you understand them or to change you so you can follow His advice? What would it mean for you not to be afraid any more? Talk to Jesus about these things. What does He say to you in response?
May God bless you with courage and the wisdom to know what to fear and what not to be afraid of.
