You are Invited

And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. Luke 12:29-30

Today you are invited to consider what food and drink mean to you. How much time do you spend thinking about such things? How much time do you spend preparing food? When did you last feel hungry or thirsty? Have you ever experienced real deep hunger or thirst? What happened? How do you feel about fasting? Whether you fast from food or social media or TV, what does a fast mean for you – do for you? What is God saying to you today about your relationship with food and drink? How do you respond?

May God provide everything you need in your life – and may He lead you to be aware of others who have needs of their own.

About Mandy Hackland

My love in life is to encourage others to deepen their relationship with God. I write devotional material, stories and small group studies with that in mind. I live in South Africa and also love spending time in the bush, bird watching and walking. I have moved to the coast and am enjoying the green spaces and beautiful vistas that surround me, reminding me of God's grace every day.
