Jesus speaks some of the most beautiful words ever uttered:

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the Kingdom. Luke 12:32

Today you are invited to consider how you feel about being a member of God’s ‘little flock’. What picture does it conjure up to you about yourself, others in your community, and God Himself? What makes you feel afraid today? How strong is your sense of belonging – or are you feeling alone? How do Jesus’ words about your Father make you feel? And what about the fact that your Father is pleased to give you…? To give you the Kingdom – is there any greater gift? Speak to God about these things, especially any struggles you have in believing they are said to you personally. How does God respond?
