You are Invited

Jesus said:

I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! Luke 12:49-50

Today you are invited to consider what Jesus meant by these words. Is the fire He speaks of the Kingdom which He wishes would burst into flame and take over the world? Is it the Holy Spirit? Is it the ordeal that lies ahead of Him which He refers to in His next sentence (a baptism to undergo). Is His power being held back until He has been crucified and only then will the Kingdom come in in full force? What do you think? What is Jesus saying to you through these words today? How do they affect your life?

May God bless you as you grow in your relationship with Him today and in the days ahead.
