As you are going with your adversary to the magistrate, try hard to be reconciled on the way, or your adversary may drage you off to the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison. I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny. Luke 12:58-59
Today you are invited to consider how you resolve conflict with others. Are you willing to make the first move to restore peace between you? Why/why not? Does it depend on who the conflict is with as to your willingness or others to act first? How do you offer reconciliation? How do you deal with it if your offer is rejected? How do you react to being offered reconciliation? What makes the difference between your accepting it or rejecting it? What is Jesus saying to you about these things today? Are there specific instances in your life where you need to be reconciled with someone – or with God? What will you do about it today?
May God bless you with the courage and the love to be reconciled today.
