Jesus was teaching in a synagogue when He saw a crippled woman. He called her forward and healed her, breaking all sorts of traditions. He said to her:

Woman, you are set free from your infirmity. Luke 13:12

Today you are invited to consider two things: Firstly, how ready are you to take any opportunity to serve Jesus in whatever way He calls you? Secondly, how does the opinion of others affect what you do for Jesus? How willing are you to break with the accepted traditions of your society, your church, your family, your social circle, etc? What holds you back from stepping out in faith? How do you feel about the times you did – and the times you didn’t? What is God saying to you today in regard to this verse?
