You are Invited

Jesus said:

When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbours; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. Luke 14:12

Today you are invited to consider what Jesus is saying to you, personally, with these words. Why do you invite specific people to share lunch or dinner with you? Who do you invite? What kind of meal do you prepare? Will it be plain or fancy? Do you spend more money on it than you can afford? Why/why not? Read the verse again now that you have thought about these things and re-consider the question of what Jesus is saying to you. How will you respond?

May God bless you today with His guidance and His love.
