You are Invited

Jesus said:

... suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with 10 000 men to oppose the one coming against him with 20 000? If he is not able he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace. In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. Luke 14:31-33

Today you are invited to consider what you have given up for Jesus. Now think of what you have not been able to release to Him. How do you feel about your answers to these questions? How do you feel about the ‘letting go’ and the ‘clinging on’? Ask Jesus to show you what He wants you to release so you can open your hands and receive all He has planned for you. What blessings are you blocked from receiving because of any reluctance to give something up for Him? At the end of this year, is it time to make a change? Listen. What does He say to you? Make a note of His response so you can refer back to it in later days.

May God bless you with the trust you need to be able to give up everything for Him.
